Put your running shoes on, start training and join us for our first annual Doggie Day 5k & 1 mile walk/run. This event will be held at 8:00AM September 15th at Heritage Park in Simpsonville, SC.

This event is a fund raising opportunity for the CCA Concerned Citizens for Animals a NO-KILL Shelter. A shelter that offers animals the chance to live, and get adopted to loving homes, without the pressure of time. Many animals do get adopted, but others spend their entire lives in the shelter, needing a lifetime's worth of food and medical care.

A thank you to those that have registered, we are looking forward to it. There is also a chance to get your money back.  Here's how you can do that;

     Refer 5 people - get a 50% refund on your registration fee

     Refer 10 people - get a 100% refund on your registration fee

Just email us a list of the participants you've referred so we know who to look out for on your behalf to, doggieday5k@gmail.com.  Refunds will be done on the Monday after the race. There will also be prizes, discounts, doggie dress, and:

• "Best Dressed Dog" wins a flight for 2 in a private plane over Greenville and surrounding areas
• Discounts from our vendors, Camp Bow Wow, Nature's Select, GNC, All about K-9 dog training and Earth Fare

PLEASE REMEMBER, If you are participating with your dog then you will need current vaccination tags at the time of the race. Your dog MUST be up to date with all shots and vaccinations.  Finally, please TRAIN SENSIBLY WITH YOUR POOCH :) EVERYONE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIER OWN DOG.

Please also note that this race will not be timed, as we want to keep our expense down to raise and donate more to shelters. Also the course at Heritage Park is a gravel/grass surface and not asphalt that may not be as competitive for timing.
